Follow up screenshot of the continued conversation between RagingEnby and Simon Hypixel from twitter. Simon has replied with a "Why would i waste my artist/dev time on a shitty meme lol all i use AI for is memes/research, no art/production." RagingEnby replies, "Using generative ai at all is a huge slap in the face to all artists, particularly the ones employed by you." Simon's final response to this is, "I still hire artists and plan to do so forever, my actions matters more than posting a random trending twitter meme made in 5 seconds. In this case the meme was to actually use AI. Pick your battles is my recommendation, otherwise you will lose all the support from people like me that are big defenders of artists."

Hytale dev + founder Simon Hypixel uses gen-ai for meme's and research he stated on his twitter. Calling those 'The sensitive crowd.' As of this moment, there's no confirmed gen-ai in Hytale. Support + money towards Hytale is support for Simon. -y

Chrizz, now the sole developer of SAMMI, saying: I want to clarify some things and I apologize ahead of time if this sounds rude. It's still work in the progress but since people seem to have complaints about allowing AI in SAMMI. AI has always been a thing in SAMMIs source code itself. SAMMI is a tool that allows the users to do whatever they want with it. The change the previous DEV Team made about forbidding AI art will be reverted, but there will be the necessity to let people know if you use AI art. I also will revert some other changes like the extension policy. Why am I doing this? It's easy, because every person should be able to decide on their own if they want to use AI or not as well as if they want to support AI. If you can not respect this decission, it's ok. Everyone can have their own oppinion about this and if your oppinion is different, feel free to no longer support or use SAMMI.

If you use or were considering using SAMMI, switch to a different program.

The new sole developer is extremely pro-AI, has already started using it in the code, and is in support of its use for genAI images as well. Everyone who protested this was told to leave the server and stop using SAMMI.

Discord has apparently added generative AI "apps" users can use to modify any image posted in any discord server.

On by default, no way to disable them, no moderation tools.

Fuck discord, support artists (discord sure doesn't).
