The Republic held elections through a Civil War & two World Wars, so describe a ‘perceived crisis’ that 47 could manufacture to circumvent the Constitution. If the Supreme Court ‘reinterprets’ the Constitution for 47, we will all have to confront that final destructive act, & decide how to respond.

Healthcare is a business, not a charity. If reimbursements vanish, providers can’t afford to operate. Shutting down early isn’t cruel, it’s rational. You don’t wait to hit zero before exiting. Rite Aid is paying the price for their complicity in the opioid epidemic. The financial strain resulting from scores of lawsuits resulting from irresponsibly dispensing opioids and ignoring red flags on suspicious prescriptions is criminal. People should have gone to prison.
