To mark the anniversary of DAVE, released on February 12, 2016, all vinyl orders placed with us between now and the end of Feb will include a free copy of that project on black 12” vinyl! Self recorded and produced, a work of punk ethos and grit.

The body of work written in a very brief period of time (6 weeks, maybe?) is what became the album. The subject of friendship and human dynamics in general remains a throughline in our work and her writing.

We’re aware there are folks who have been with us since then, & we can’t thank you enough.

The first had some of the same songs, but not all, and didn’t accurately reflect the moment we were actually living through. It was scrapped, and Buick set about documenting some of the discomfort she was experiencing within the vast canon of friendship.

Though we had done regional shows and recorded some shorter collections prior to all of that, 2016 was the true hard launch of Friendship Commanders. DAVE is the only album we’ve ever recorded twice. The version that was released is the second iteration.

🌿2016🌿 Full disclosure: this post almost didn’t get made because trends are weird & one of us lives with a profound absence of nostalgia, but 2016 happens to have been the year we released our first album, DAVE, embarked on our first U.S. tour, made our first video & entered the chat as a real band.

Our new album BEAR is out everywhere and we’ve only just begun touring and sharing the music with the world! We’re hitting the Southeast this winter, Europe this spring, and everywhere else beyond in 2026. We look forward to seeing you in your part of the world very soon! Let us know where you are!
