I cancelled Viz & SJ 6 months ago.
I haven’t heard about any AI shenanigans since then, so I resubbed to Viz for now. Time to catch up on Insomniacs After School and read more Conan & Frieren.

Viz has had enough time to announce the Ultra Artworks artbook, right? Or whatabout a part 2 boxset for MHA?

The Ultra Age fanbook would also be nice, though I feel that’s less likely.

Extremely unlikely, but Me & Roboco in print would be very welcome.

We also used an episode of Perry Mason to do quick art challenges. A ref paused the video, then we rolled dice to determine the the instrument (pencil, marker, etc), how long (between 15 seconds and 8 minutes) and the challenge (left handed, can’t raise pen, can’t look at paper, etc)

The flaps of the pocket valentine are open in a star-like shape to show all the designs. In the center square is a an I ❤️U with a bow and arrow on opposite sides of the heart. The flaps have rows of pink and red hearts and sections of green vines with a rose in the center.

The closed valentine shows only the four triangular sections of vines and roses meeting together in a square.

Met up with a friend to do artsy stuff yesterday. Considering the holiday, we decided to learn to make pocket valentines. I tried to mimic the intricateness of the victorian examples we looked at.

Of note, only one character canonically goes to Hell in Full Metal Alchemist.

Shut off an All Might analysis video after a couple minutes because it claimed that telling Deku heroes need a Quirk directly contradicted his own experience.

Realizing that if anything could make me a YouTuber, it would be the need to combat All Might misinfo.

this is a very interesting look at shonen manga specifically as sequential art, and the unique differences and technical/creative aspects between them

I may not agree with some key points, but it's still a great and thoughtful analysis
