Great movie

6th game of 2025 finished...
South of Midnight
Good story, great music, marred only slightly by some frustrating combat, although the majority of the boss battles were great.
Overall, an enjoyable game.

Destiny (1)
Complete Collection on offer recently, priced less than a pint in my local & I've fallen back in bad!
Played the hell out of Destiny 1 on PS3/PS4, & after a love/hate relationship with Destiny 2 across PS4/Xbox, it's been nice to go back to the original

Monster Hunter: Wilds (main story).
Currently grinding through the endgame content with some gaming buddies, so not done with this title yet.
Whilst this title is (undestandably) getting a lot of flak & doesn't have the content of World (yet), really enjoying this

In a bit of a "meh" mood last night.
Didn't know what to play, browsing for ages for something to watch.
Stumbled across Whiplash, heard of it but never seen it before. Wow, what a movie..!! Why had I never watched this until recently??!!

IMO, one of the few examples of a sequel being better than the original.
Yet, it wouldn't have had the impact it did without the original...

Yep, they tried, but I ended up picking up the Destiny 1 Collection instead...

So I fell off Destiny 2 a while back and vowed not to go back down that rabbit hole.

Lo and behold, Destiny (1) The Collection is on sale (Xbox) for less than a pint in my local (£4.24)... & the servers are still active...
... like an old pair of your favorite trainers... comfy & nostalgic...

II was peak Soul Calibur for me, IMO...

Didn't play my first game of DnD until 2020 (!!)
Treated myself to the 5th edition core boxed set during the pandemic lockdown.
Ran a couple of games with my teenage son and my best mate joined via discord.

It was my first true TTRPG. Discovered it in high school, as a friend the year above me had started playing it.
System is clunky AF (especially the combat), but the setting is still one of my favourites. The career system was also a great mechanic, IMO
I'd started college when the reprint released.
