Our founding members are simply the first who joined during our soft launch. Anyone who joined before Oct 1 (official launch) can be a founding member, and Board applications will be open to all.

You raise a valid point. Thank you for calling this out. Our Board is currently made from founding members and is still in formation, and we should have made that clear on our website.

We’re committed to recruiting racialized members and building leadership that reflects Canada’s diversity.

We’d never exclude anyone. Our Board has yet to be formed, but CCU is building with diversity in mind and making sure racialized creators have a place at the table.
