my precious little friend scraggle has passed away

we looked after and protected him from day one, when i first saw this scraggly little anxious patchy juvenile swan being bullied. he very quickly understood and loved and trusted us ever since, even after he grew up into a beautiful adult swan

an intense rainbow lorikeet staring down a fluttershy toy

forgetting to refill the cat water until the pump makes a noise like a wet smoker's cough

a black swan unable to lift its head, which is laying near its foot, which is tangled in seaweed. it is alive but doesn't look like it.

the circle of life was not messing around today.

a heartbreaking rescue of a swan so weak it couldn't hold its head up any more

.. and then the discovery of three newly hatched baby cygnets, right near home

the reason i had that disaster with the caulking gun glue is because apparently it was the best for being waterproof and mounting things like plaques to concrete

and here it is. the memorial plaque i had made for lady pond.
