I think I always heard it in British tv where they weren’t necessarily in view but the word was clearly referencing a vegetable.
Even now, understanding it to be a squash, I remain mystified about the name. Like is this a poor-man’s-bone thing?

I’d put money on the 90s tv aesthetic dream NOT being a key to any breakthroughs, but it very much amuses me to see it memorialized in sideways, 3am, dark-of-night handwriting- which is reward enough.

Fortunately my way is to find those kinds of surprise negative reactions really interesting and to dig into them (after a moment of therapeutic pouting.)

I went down a rabbithole of unhelpful suggestions (“write them down” doesn’t work if you don’t remember them in the first place?) and found the most repeated advice from earnest sources was just to set the intention & keep trying.
