When COVID hit and the medical establishment decided to ignore evidence that COVID was airborne, they were playing right into the hands of the anti-vaxx lobby that had been chipping away at Science for decades.

Once you justify ignoring one part of Science you permit all of it to be ignored.

Watching everyone I love hasten their death by refusing to protect themselves from Covid is an almost unbearable burden. Their lives will be shorter and the life they do have will be poorer. I’m at a loss. Total failure of Public Health.

Multiple COVID-19 infections pose a risk for developing Long COVID. People who got infected twice with COVID-19 were twice as likely as those who got COVID-19 once to develop Long COVID symptoms that affect the major organs in the body.

There is a clear before and after and it's reflected here in the road toll. This increase is backed by multiple studies.

Scientists Finally Reveal Biological Basis of Long COVID Brain Fog.

I think about this daily.

“You’re smart to mask” & “I haven’t been the same since…” comments from unmasked fellow HCWs. Researcher colleagues presenting data re: the risks of recurrent infections, yet repeatedly coming home sick with “conference crud.”

We must not merely understand. We must adapt.

Covid is not over.

It’s still killing & disabling

Our “rush back to normal” has devastated millions of lives

It’s a novel virus. We don’t know the full long term effects, but what we do know isn’t encouraging

The good news? You can make a difference

Wear a mask. Clean the air. Get vaccinated.

Class is in session.

Fun fact about disinformation: In order to change actions, you don't always have to convince someone something is wrong. You might just have to convince someone that something might not be right.

The friction of uncertainty can stop someone in their tracks.
