29: It's probably not #slowhorses best year, but with season five the show remains (for my money) the best show on the air.

Excellent use of Christopher Chung as Roddy Ho this year, as well as Battlestar Galactica alum, James Callis as Claude Whelan.

Can't wait for series six.

For me, the first three albums are the good shit, after that all the albums have a couple of tracks I really like but a lot of tracks that really haven't stuck with me.

I don’t mind it as an acoustic song, actually.

I like a lot of songs by the Foo Fighters but I don’t think I’ve ever liked ‘Times Like These’.

Drank wine, watched a drag performance of Once More With Feeing and ate a big bag of Monster Munch on the tube back to West London.

28: With season two #platonic remains one of the great shows you aren’t watching.

And you really should, if for no other reason than Rose Byrne is fantastic in it.

It’s really funny too.

The overall story being told here was strong- I think my only gripe was that I would have liked more episodes and to have milked the Earth X storyline a bit more but lots of fun to be had here.

Also, John Cena really stepped up for some of his emotional scenes late in the series. Very impressed.

Ultimately what this is is an extended follow-up to the zombie What If episode. And for me that was one of the weaker What Ifs, so it’s unsurprising I wasn’t blown away by this.

Would I watch series two?

Yeah, probably.

The whole thing is kinda meh. It’s not bad- there are a few fun moments- but it has that feel of an executive saying ‘create some content quick and cheap’ (which I think is sadly going to be the Disney+ mantra for the foreseeable future).

26: Okay, I feel like I need to write my thoughts on #marvelzombies straight away as there is a good chance I will instantly forget I watched this.

The teen cast of The Breakfast Club stood in front of a green blackboard. Sounds weird when you say it but god-damn does that blackboard look green.

25: As a whole #alienearth was a mixed bag but the show was brimming with ideas and some of those ideas were fantastic. I mean, god-damn that eyeball thing was great and it looked brilliant in the sheep (it’s a shame we never got to see that sheep actually do anything but it looked great regardless)

A busy day of work today but it has meant a bevy of bangers playing in the background, comprised of Origin of Symmetry, Absolution, Black Holes and Revelations, Songs For the Deaf, The Colour and the Shape and The Enema of the State.
