Wow! That's pretty strict! I remember the females had to wear head covering in chuch. We'd sometimes have a mass, or stations of the cross during lent, and a girl or 2 wouldn't have a scarf or hat so they would have to bobbypin a kleenex tissue to the top of their head. Weird to think of now.

Didn't use to be that way. Blue collar workers were primarily dems. Lot of it had to do with unions and worker strife which dems took the side of. This same demo is also lower educated. They now see the enemy as minorities, not the big corps and wealthy, which is why they vote repugnican.
