I hired lots of librarians over the years. EVERYONE got a personal response. Even the handwritten application on torn notebook paper in pink ink, with little hearts dotting the i. If you're putting yourself out there for a job, it's the least I can do. Overwhelmed? At least acknowledge receipt.

Was in charge of a public library during COVID.It was awful trying to figure out how to keep services going while making sure everyone,both staff and the public,were safe. So many questions without answers in the beginning.Worked long hours and cried a lot. You all had it much worse.Respect you all.
