You voted no, how brave. You’re up for reelection and it was decided you would vote no. Profile in courage it was not. If you really, truly believe what you say, and you weren’t able to influence your colleagues to vote along with you, then you’re not fit for the office you hold. Period.

Good news, when it all happens again in 2 months, the Rs will be even more incentivized to say fuck off and hold their line knowing the Dems will cave.

Unless they come out today in full public opposition to their colleagues that voted YES and call for Schumer to step down leadership, every Dem senator up for reelection in 2026 needs to be primaried across the board. From Booker to Warner, it’s time to clean house.

Aside from a couple, every Dem senator that voted NO is just as responsible for this sellout as every one that voted YES. If 85% of the conference can’t persuade 15% to stand up for an issue that has broad public support, then they’re unfit for the office. Period. Full stop.

Tuesday - Blue Wave election, Thursday - Trump falls asleep during a press conference, Friday - Trump fights in court to starve people, Sunday - Trump gets booed mercilessly by an entire stadium on national television, Sunday Night - Dems surrender. Pathetic.

If Schumer caves and this goes through, AOC should file her paperwork tomorrow to primary him for his seat.
