Below, is an extremely offensive image from the game Ace of Spades published by Devir Games. The cavalier use of a slavery theme about a game that could LITERALLY BE ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE and the offensive images to push this theme is abhorrent. You all should know better. 1/3

I'm listening to Mandi, OFPG, Kenna (Coyote & Crow) and others on this one. But I will chime in to say - two of my favorite publishers are from Spain. They produce games centered thematically around cultures not their own. And they manage to not use racist caricatures that were outdated 25 years ago

Fellow hobbyists: we must strive to be better humans. We can’t simply “look the other way” when an issue doesn’t affect us directly.

Played a solo game of Shelfie Stacker from Arkus games and designed by Shem Phillips. Really enjoy this puzzly game. This time I decided to play against the Shem-bot instead of the BYOS version. It was certainly a challenge.

I’ve heard they are very dissimilar. For solo play I’ve saw a reviewer say that Lockdown is best but I really enjoyed this one.

Played two solo games of Saltfjord today. I really enjoyed this polyomino tile laying game. Easy to learn but hard to master. My first game I won but did not get a medal rank as my score was only 57. Second game was a 90. I need at least 100. Next time I suppose.

Played Moon Colony Bloodbath tonight, and I’ve got to say—it’s a lot of fun. Definitely frustrating at times, but in a good way! The constant tension of trying not to run out of people before reaching Event 13 keeps you on edge, but that challenge is engaging!

Played (well tried to play 😂) Tacta today with my daughter and son. Daughter lost her shit and went away crying while my son said it was boring. I just can’t with these kids 😂. Anyways, I really enjoyed it and thought it was good.

Kingdomino digital for iOS and Android! I was fortunate enough to get access to the game for a review. So far it has been an excellent digital implementation of the board game and I’ve been enjoying it immensely! If you love Kingdomino, you should definitely get the digital version.

Played a solo game of Stephens a few weeks ago and forgot to post about it. In Stephens, players compete to become the most prestigious glass maker by helping to rebuild the town of Lisbon. This game was easy to learn but had quite a bit of depth and easy to manage AI.

Yes! Can’t wait for the expansion. While I don’t mind the PnP, I’d rather have quality made components.

Played Tea Garden solo the other day. Really enjoyed this deck building game. There are a lot of things to do in your 3-4 turns each round. The official solo PnP ran great and was easy to manage. If you’re a fan of SETI or Galileo Galilei, you definitely need this one!

Played R.A.V.E.L. from inPatience. R.A.V.E.L. is a solo game where you try to manipulate dice to unlock cards which give different benefits to help further unlock more cards. Unlock all the cards and you win the gang. Really enjoyed this one!

The one time I played Tokaido years ago, I really did not enjoy it. I just wanted heavier games at that time. Fast forward to now and I really loved my solo game of the @stonemaiergames.com edition. The gameplay was great and the AI was a breeze to operate. Can’t wait to play again!

Love this game! Still one of my top favorites!

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Finspan. The solo AI is very smooth to run which I guess is not a shocker. Wyrmspan is my favorite in the series.

Just played two solo games of this tonight. Won the first game, 24 to 7 on level I. Then lost second game, 26 to 2 level II. Love this game so much. Easy AI to run, plays quick and I love the challenge.

Fun game!
