My interests include reading and collecting books of all genre's (preferably horror and historical fiction). Medieval history, UK castles, pizza, cheeseburgers and Hawkin's Cheezies.

Current read: "Burial" by Graham Masterton. This is book 3 of the Manitou series. Quite gruesome in places! ๐Ÿฉธ๐Ÿ“š

Current read...The Pagan Lord by Bernard Cornwell. I started this series years ago, back around 2012. I have all 13 books in the series (The Saxon Stories). I read them at my own pace and every time I decide to go back into the story line, it's like reuniting with old friends ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’™

I have the Keene one, it's not bad but he has written better. Still an enjoyable read.

The Bank- Bentley Little. Wrapped this one up today, I found it to be one of his tamer books, definitely felt "The Auctioneer" vibes from it but of course nothing can really compare to that book. If you are looking for a light, easy horror read, pick this one up. ๐Ÿฉธ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’™

Another great book by Graham Masterton. This book is a fictional thriller concerning the Cuban Missile Crisis of the 60's and why the Red Scare was a real issue in America. While written in the '80's, this is a frighteningly real possibility today. Brutal kills scene's ensue lol ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’™โณ๐Ÿฉธ

Finished this one up a couple of days ago, "Hellfire" by John Saul. This one is much darker than his usual books, and very unpredictable (both bonuses for me). If you are looking to give it a go, I've put my copy up for grabs in the bookshop.

Colson Whitehead has some great books. The Nickel Boys and The Underground Railroad being two of them. You might want to check out Tananarive Due's books as well.

When a book you sold in Feb 2024 makes it's way back to you.....all the way from South Africa. Pity the purchaser never bothered to pick it up from the post office (full refund was issued though). Now back in the shop for anyone who wants it!

"The Vanishing"- Bentley Little
This was one of the craziest stories I have ever read...and believe me, that is saying a lot. The blurb on it does not accurately prepare you for the insanity inside. If you want something well written and right out of left field, give this one a go. ๐Ÿฉธ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’™

I liked this but I know many didn't. GWAR's Dave Brockie unleashes...The Whargoul
From the killing grounds of Stalingrad to the death camps of the holocaust. From torture chambers in Iraq to race riots in the United States, the Whargoul was there - killing and raping, feeding off of pain & misery๐Ÿฉธ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’™
