I took @thelovelyeggs.bsky.social bait, because I'll never time travel in a de Lorean.

Music is all
I took @thelovelyeggs.bsky.social bait, because I'll never time travel in a de Lorean.
02.11.2025 11:03 ā š 1 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0I'd been stuck at the back for the first 20 minutes; life in balance. Or chaos, not sure.
31.10.2025 09:16 ā š 1 š 0 š¬ 1 š 0Two midweek nights out in a row, I'm on fire! The Lovely Frank Skinner Eggs in Brum on Wednesday and the lovely Worcester festival of lights on Thursday. Lovely.
31.10.2025 09:12 ā š 1 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0I ended up centre front and was too embarrassed to stay there for more than a few minutes, no need for a 6 footer to be blocking everyone's view of T'Eggs!
31.10.2025 09:08 ā š 1 š 0 š¬ 1 š 0I thought I saw you by the merch afterwards but I dismissed it with 'not every ginger is TraceyB' I got in the Lovely Eggs photo because of the death shuffle. Frank was great too.
30.10.2025 15:00 ā š 1 š 0 š¬ 1 š 0Brunch at Kynd Folk and a pint at The Wheatsheaf with the boy makes a good Sunday afternoon in Worcester.
26.10.2025 16:27 ā š 0 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0Just seen the set list for the first Cabaret Voltaire show and it couldn't be better š
26.10.2025 16:16 ā š 2 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0I played Copper Blue after the Sugar announcement this week and the tracks chosen by Spotify to follow were fairly predictable (The Posies, Sebadoh, Redd Kross, TFC etc) but also featured an inordinate/inappropriate amount of Ned's Atomic Dustbin. Some lovely basslines those boys had though.
17.10.2025 17:20 ā š 0 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0"I didn't know you liked Teenage Fanclub Tracey" said nobody. š
03.10.2025 09:53 ā š 2 š 0 š¬ 1 š 0Had the weird pleasure of finding out street view has updated for the first time since we moved in. What do you mean 'Which is the new pic?' Cheeky twat.
12.09.2025 19:07 ā š 1 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0I went down quite a pleasing musical hole last night after some random post on Facebook about a circa 2000 song. Quickspace Supersport, Novak, L'Augmentation, Woodbine. Quite the vibe.
12.09.2025 19:05 ā š 0 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0Only one play though so far, the tracks I'd heard before seemed the strongest so that gives me a bit of faith. They started with 'Where are you?' when I saw them last year which threw me because I'd always known every song when I'd seen them live before. A similar feeling listening to the new album.
12.09.2025 18:58 ā š 1 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0This?
06.08.2025 06:47 ā š 0 š 0 š¬ 1 š 0Just back from a week in Croatia with my best mates of 40 years standing (and our marvellous wives ) We had a beer at Bastards bar, because why wouldn't you?
04.08.2025 11:03 ā š 1 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0It's lucky I've still got all my cd's in the loft. I know it's not that yet, but...
24.07.2025 13:41 ā š 0 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0I saw them touring this album in 88 with Run DMC, been a massive favourite ever since. Colossal is the perfect word to describe it!
17.07.2025 21:03 ā š 4 š 0 š¬ 2 š 0I left Twitter a month ago and 3 months without Netflix has been just fine. Next up is dumping Spotify- is Tidal my best bet?
17.07.2025 19:45 ā š 1 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0Part Chimp rock so hard.
02.07.2025 16:56 ā š 1 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0After the Lorelei on OGWT event the Cocteau's following releases were an EP, 2 EPs a week apart but definitely not an album, 45rpm LP but only two of us so not a full album, EP. Then I got to see them live for the first time, then they disappeared for 2 years and didn't tour when the LP came out!
02.07.2025 14:17 ā š 2 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0I hope you are going to listen to 'Lullabies to Violaine' once you finish the studio albums. The EPs released on 4AD only featured one track that was released on an album. Astonishing stuff.
02.07.2025 13:07 ā š 3 š 0 š¬ 2 š 0Ordered some house numbers because it's not obvious what number our house is. Hilariously, Amazon left the parcel on next door's mat.
01.07.2025 15:54 ā š 0 š 1 š¬ 0 š 0I thought Glastonbury looked a bit shit but Self Esteem and Four Tet have made tonight a very good night on the sofa.
27.06.2025 22:37 ā š 9 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0I don't mind Wunderhorse, but it's just Bends era Radiohead really. #glastonbury
27.06.2025 18:56 ā š 2 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0I had to change one of my passwords at work today and after a few attempts that were denied because they didn't contain the right things I essentially put in a version of FFS and it was happy.
27.06.2025 15:38 ā š 1 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0NEC 2003. I still maintain it's the best show I've ever seen.
27.06.2025 15:28 ā š 1 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0Innit though. Literally, we've just congregated. (We've not been here long.)
27.06.2025 15:22 ā š 0 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0This Citroen one LITERALLY happened as I was typing this, I swear down.
27.06.2025 14:25 ā š 0 š 0 š¬ 1 š 0Less annoyed with the misuse of literally by people these days, and even listen out for special examples. Heard at work recently:
'I was literally dead.' (I was very ill.)
'I was literally beside myself.' (I was surprised.)
'I was literally melting.' (It was hot.)
'Literally it was a white Citroen.'
Oh mate, my life changed when I was 15 watching Whistle Test one Tuesday in early 1985 and this came on. Transfixed from the first moment and I don't know what happened to me when Liz did that thing in the down-a-down bit. Favourite band ever since, and always will be. youtu.be/zV_nrTH5jOc?...
26.06.2025 19:40 ā š 4 š 0 š¬ 1 š 0I've thought for a couple of years that phones would disappear and wearables would take over. Doesn't seem to be happening, so here's an option.
