Two midweek nights out in a row, I'm on fire! The Lovely Frank Skinner Eggs in Brum on Wednesday and the lovely Worcester festival of lights on Thursday. Lovely.

I ended up centre front and was too embarrassed to stay there for more than a few minutes, no need for a 6 footer to be blocking everyone's view of T'Eggs!

I thought I saw you by the merch afterwards but I dismissed it with 'not every ginger is TraceyB' I got in the Lovely Eggs photo because of the death shuffle. Frank was great too.

Brunch at Kynd Folk and a pint at The Wheatsheaf with the boy makes a good Sunday afternoon in Worcester.

I played Copper Blue after the Sugar announcement this week and the tracks chosen by Spotify to follow were fairly predictable (The Posies, Sebadoh, Redd Kross, TFC etc) but also featured an inordinate/inappropriate amount of Ned's Atomic Dustbin. Some lovely basslines those boys had though.

I went down quite a pleasing musical hole last night after some random post on Facebook about a circa 2000 song. Quickspace Supersport, Novak, L'Augmentation, Woodbine. Quite the vibe.

Only one play though so far, the tracks I'd heard before seemed the strongest so that gives me a bit of faith. They started with 'Where are you?' when I saw them last year which threw me because I'd always known every song when I'd seen them live before. A similar feeling listening to the new album.

I saw them touring this album in 88 with Run DMC, been a massive favourite ever since. Colossal is the perfect word to describe it!

After the Lorelei on OGWT event the Cocteau's following releases were an EP, 2 EPs a week apart but definitely not an album, 45rpm LP but only two of us so not a full album, EP. Then I got to see them live for the first time, then they disappeared for 2 years and didn't tour when the LP came out!

I hope you are going to listen to 'Lullabies to Violaine' once you finish the studio albums. The EPs released on 4AD only featured one track that was released on an album. Astonishing stuff.
