chuck schumer quoting bill maher saying "palestinians should just accept that they lost the war, the way the serbs accepted that they lost kosovo" is a sentence custom-designed to turn me into the joker

Obviously the whole thing is illegal as shit, but this was illegal even if they were otherwise legal combatants, and I legitimately don't think JSOC understands that

Indeed, and I'll add that I don't take seriously this idea that any given Palestinian party should be banned from elections if there are no reciprocal international demands that a party like Otzma Yehudit ought to be banned. And frankly there is no such reciprocity. And so I do not entertain it.

Trump Administration sees its chief foreign policy role as the backer of the far right international, all foreign policy bends to that aim.

The antidote cannot be pursuing far-right policy in half-measures like Starmer is or Biden did on Israel & the border. Internationalist solidarity or barbarism

Exhaustion and Inflection: Estimating Interceptor Expenditures in the Israel-Iran Conflict [UPDATED] Following Israel’s twelve-day bombing campaign against Iran’s leaders, nuclear facilities and missile program, two key questions have been how deep is [...]

I wonder if there's a plan for a separate missile production line, given Israel's need to restock before they attack Iran again.

The metal letters the administration used to plaster Trump's name on the side of the USIP building today appear very similar to the ones DOGE pulled off the wall when they illegally took over the space in March.

See video evidence of Israeli soldiers destroying Gaza Al Jazeera's Investigative Unit compiles evidence of potential Israeli war crimes in Gaza.

Half of the "misleading" videos that Clinton etc are complaining about are IDF troops gleefully filming their own atrocities, setting the video to dance music, and uploading it to TikTok. Al Jazeera did a whole investigation of this and they weren't the only ones

Anti-ship missiles, nuclear attack submarines, aircraft carriers, Harrier dogfights, Margaret Thatcher, exotic strategic bombers operating at the limits of their capabilities, contested amphibious landings, pitched land battles - it's got everything!

If that is indeed the case then Bradley should testify to it because it is the truth and to provide a record for later on … but no, he should get no credit or leniency for it.

Israelis used to be more intelligent when it came to why people hated them. They used to acknowledge, especially in the 1950s and 60s, that they emptied out historic Palestine and the Golan and refused to let the people return and that this engendered resentment. Now they pretend it's all fake.

If this happened as described in the Post report, it was, at best, a war crime under federal law. I say β€œat best” because, as regular readers know, I believe the attacks on these suspected drug boats β€” without congressional authorization, under circumstances in which the boat operators pose no military threat to the United States, and given that narcotics trafficking is defined in federal law as a crime rather than as terrorist activity, much less an act or war β€” are lawless and therefore that the killings are not legitimate under the law or armed conflict. (See my Saturday column, with links to prior posts on this subject.)

Jeeves was not a butler, but a valet, or, as he termed it, 'gentleman's gentleman.' The canonical Wodehouse butler, Beach, preferred copping wine (a traditional perquisite) and reading the racing press in his parlor to following dudes around. [Thank you for briefly entertaining my pedantry]

If Tito Asfura wins for President of Honduras, because the United States has so much confidence in him, his Policies, and what he will do for the Great People of Honduras, we will be very supportive. If he doesn't win, the United States will not be throwing good money after bad, because a wrong Leader can only bring catastrophic results to a country, no matter which country it is. Tito will be a Great President, and the United States will work closely with him in order to ensure the success, with all of its potential, of Honduras! Additionally, I will be granting a Full and Complete Pardon to Former President Juan Orlando Hernandez who has been, according to many people that I greatly respect, treated very harshly and unfairly. This cannot be allowed to happen, especially now, after Tito Asfura wins the Election, when Honduras will be on its way to Great Political and Financial Success. VOTE FOR TITO ASFURA FOR PRESIDENT, AND CONGRATULATIONS TO JUAN ORLANDO HERNANDEZ ON YOUR UPCOMING PARDON. Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE HONDURAS GREAT AGAIN!

Juan Orlando HernΓ‘ndez, Former President of Honduras, Sentenced to 45 Years in Prison for Conspiring to Distribute More Than 400 Tons of Cocaine and Related Firearms Offenses

in the midst of our supposed campaign against Venezuelan drug traffickers the President of the United States has chosen to pardon the Former President of Honduras, freeing him from his long prison sentence earned for trafficking more than 400 tons of cocaine into the United States

Right, the answer to the question β€œcan the president issue a valid pardon for the assassins he sent to successfully kill the Congress that was impeaching him” has to be no or the underlying structure of the Constitution makes no sense

28.11.2025 23:33 β€” πŸ‘ 208    πŸ” 49    πŸ’¬ 4    πŸ“Œ 3

Mass pardons are coming. There will be no accountability without treating those as null and void. And that means a future administration taking an official position that Trump is not the legitimate president right now because he is disqualified by the 14th Amendment. The two things are inextricable.
