It's frustrating how much big productions get tied up in this continuity nonsense. The only type of person who cares about every scrap of a property being internally consistent is the guy who insists that, because he maintains the wiki, girls aren't allowed in his club, and that guy is a dork.

Brosnan-Bond and Jinx probably stayed at that Buddhist love-shack at the end of Die Another Day and they've been growing potatoes by the seaside ever since. (Samantha Bond's Moneypenny clearly retired and started a VR porn company.)

That's baffling. They were fine with multiple Bonds under Judi Dench's M, including the second one becoming a 00 agent halfway through. Just say it's a code name and move on.

Better yet, promote Naomie Harris' Moneypenny, let her lead the series for a while, and find a new "Bond" 2 or 3 movies in.

Just like nobody ever closed doors or drawers in Halloween, the crew just walked away from the van with the side door wide open and sound effects suggested that it drove off right away. Guess Dick Miller likes a good breeze while he's on the highway.

I wish it hadn't slipped into a couple of months of being a complete snorefest after that, but maybe there's someone out there who digs a marathon of James Being Sad episodes. I'm really struggling with this part of the series right now and can't wait for Windom Earle to finally show up.

Pleasant Surprise #2: Didn't notice it at first because you can only see parts of the building in the opening, but this movie is about a team of cleaners who discover something unpleasant in an abandoned house...

In a room with beige walls and a beige print with some pink flowers on said wall, two small children in beige outfits stand waist-high in front of what one assumes is their grandmother, also clad in a loose beige pullover top and matching skirt, and the only real splashes of colour are the slash of her red lipstick and a short blue-handled knife that she is holding in front of her. A slightly hollow grin on her face gives the picture a more sinister feel than the director was likely going for.

This frame from an ad for home security cameras that will totally keep your kids safe doesn't necessarily give me the greatest feeling about what's in store for these kids.

I wish that big hit had somehow translated into Brain Drain selling much better than it did. A Ramones album produced by Bill Laswell? How did that not grab people? My favourite track, "Zero Zero UFO", didn't get played live very often, either, but it's a killer. A shame all around.
