Might be worth clarifying that "lawnmower" in this case is a person who mows lawns, rather than a machine.
That said, it's still pretty weird:

In a photo taken through a window, giving a grey cross-hatch effect, visible past the window latch and (fake) window leading, a several-foot high (just under a meter for those using sensible measuring systems) drift of snow rises on the roof, next to but not touching, the white vinyl siding of the house. An adjacent part of the roof has been swept clear of snow by the wind, which apparently deposited it on the drift.
Weird snow. Some places the grass pokes through. Other places the drifts pile high. Out the window along our roof.

31.01.2026 21:54 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Outlined against a clear blue winter sky, hree turkey vultures perch in the bare trees above our Quonset Hunt barn. I'm hiding while I take the picture so I don't spook them away. Out of sight behind the barn to the right are many more vultures in other trees.
Every year, a bunch of #vultures come to our barn, morning and evening. They don't actually live here, we think they just come here to warm up in the morning and evening sun. When I go to feed the horses, a dozen or two of the #birds will fly off the barn and perch in the trees along the pasture.

If you're just after a second language, rather than for specific purposes, you might consider #Esperanto. Much faster to learn than national languages.

Nearly-full moon at center, in a glory, inside a 23 degree halo. Jupiter is inside the halo at top. A blue internal reflection is below and to the left of the moon, and is an artifact of the inexpensive cell-phone camera.
Weather change coming: 23ΒΊ halo around the moon, with Jupiter just inside at the top.
05.01.2026 03:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0in a dark field with small faint stars scattered, a galaxy spans the frame from left to right. The galaxy is nearly edge-on, and rotated with respect to the frame in the 8 o'clock to 2 o'clock direction. The bright core is small, and surrounded by an oval of spiral arms, then much dimmer arms extend left and right. The right arm is much shorter and thinner than the left. Both arms show variations in size and density, with the left arm shining and fading, the recovering and extending nearly as far as the rest of the galaxy.
NGC 55 / C72: The "String of Pearls" galaxy. #Seestar S50π 16 min vs 20 min wall-clock. "Denoised" & adjusted brightness & contrast to bring out arms.
Not included in the H400, so surprised me to see such a large bright galaxy. I like the differing densities and lengths of the left vs. right arm.
You caught the lunar X I this one.

11.11.2025 23:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I sometimes use it. It apparently speeds up images with "framing" quite a bit. I've used just a ball-head tripod. The club has a dedicated EQ mode #Seestar πpier. The app guides you to set up the angles. Pretty quick and easy. I don't consider it essential, but i'm not a Real Astrophotograper.
04.11.2025 03:51 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If you didnβt explicitly set it, #Seestars donβt save the individual frames, just the auto stacked result.
23.10.2025 17:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If youβre willing to spend more exposure time, you can use βframingβ to rotate and/or expand the FOV.

21.10.2025 03:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0However, one _can_ "denoise" images in a plan even after the plan has completed, as long as you don't delete or restart the plan itself. #Seestar oddity.
21.10.2025 01:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I often get oddly colored background washes. Using the "AI Denoise" feature often sets them back to proper black. So far i haven't figured out how to retroactively "denoise" an image after the #Seestar is done with that object. SO, i usually "denoise" and download just before changing the image.
21.10.2025 01:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Looking at the "tentacles" made me notice that the whole image has thin, dark wiggly lines almost everywhere. There's a very good one near top right, which in turn errupts into thin branches, with a very long one running down until it connects with the body of the squid.
17.10.2025 03:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Barnard 139 is the elongated dark patch near the center of the image. It looks a bit like a squid swimming down & left, with tentacles stretching up & right.
The star field is quite dense: this is in the middle of the summer Milky Way.
An image of a dense starfield, with hundreds of faint stars with a few brighter ones, contains a small dark blot. This is dark nebula Barnard 335, a cloud of gas and dust blocking the light of the background stars.
Dark Nebula B 335, taken in a 20 minute exposure (of which 15 minutes of 20-second frames were stacked) with a #Seestar S50 π. The original image was quite blue. I used the apps "AI Denoise", then tweaked the brightness and contrast to make the nebula stand out more.
