Masche are witches in Italian folklore and have a variety of supernatural powers. Some are immortal, some are eternally young, some can fly, some control the weather, but, most importantly, a lot of them transform into animals.

These are from a library in Italy where they read "Maria e il Sarvanot" and then had some crafting and colouring time as an activity for 8-9 year olds. Every time I see children enjoy a book I illustrated, my heart is filled with joy 🥹
