He cut a glance from the screen towards two of his lieutenants currently bickering over some runt of a hero that they plucked off the street.

And Raph was in a place to get blasted if he didn’t ditch his latest dance partner.

To compound the problem, beneath all the din he may (or may not) detect that he was still being /observed/.

The sai kept him from being grabbed but it did nothing to keep him from being stuck between a rock and a plasma-heated hard place.

“Stop letting him squirm!” The one with the rifle hissed, the first any of them had said since the fight started.

One of the more ambitious of the trio moved to grab the turtle from behind, using his staff as a restraint.

The first one was down for the count with a crash of both body and weapon. He lay there a moment, stunned yet breathing, before his belt flash, blinked twice then he and it vanished.

There was one or two that might actually require some effort to avoid, but once again, a trained fellow like Raphael really wasn't needing much effort--unless he decided to be extra about the entire thing.

The first two guys were a joke. Expert response to a sloppy set-up left them already knocked aside.
The second pair were only better equipped for the situation in one regard; ranged firepower.
A series of energy blasts rocketed past the ninja, some /almost/ hitting. /1

They obliged!
The nearest two charged in with extended poles crackling with mean-looking electricity.

To a trained martial artist? They were sloppy. All kinds of openings and their swings were predictable!

Maybe a regular human would be scared but Raph? A cake-walk!

He gestured and, in true villain fashion, four well-armed Dominion troops emerged.

"Deal with him but let him live to regret his decision. And maybe change his mind later."

"Hmph. 'Morality'. What a 'mammalian' thought. We are strong, they are weak. And even if you and your are like us, if you aren't for the Dominion, you're against it."

He loomed, sneering.
"Don't be a mammal in a reptile's hide. Fight with your /brothers/ here. Or fall if your 'brothers' there."

"Tell me why you /insist/ on helping these--humans."

Aetla rarely made a personal appearance but these turtles were a confounding presence. It was one thing to have humans fight him; it was totally different when it was reptiles like himself.
