The FDA approved Miplyffa (arimoclomol), an oral medication for the treatment of Neimann-Pick disease, type C (NPC).

FDA just approved the first treatment for Niemann-Pick Disease, Type C, a rare genetic disorder resulting in neurological symptoms and organ dysfunction, due to changes in the NPC1 or NPC2 genes impacting transport of lipids in a cell. Life expectancy is about 13.
