12.12.2024 15:13 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0i use giant text (streamer brain) so i can't afford all those gaps and angly characters lol
12.12.2024 15:12 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0i'll be honest when i first replied i thought you were just talking about the visual design LOL
12.12.2024 15:10 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0to be clear i think it's good that both exist
there are lots of cases where i prefer the pre-configured solution (caddy vs. nginx comes to mind)
yeah fair
tmux is very much one of those "batteries not included" programs
the thing i don't like about "batteries included" software is it tends to prefer shoving the author's opinions down my throat rather than letting me configure stuff
tmux actually has a built in cheatsheet if you do prefix + ?
12.12.2024 15:03 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 1yeah but have you seen tmux tho
12.12.2024 15:01 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0what do you think should happen instead?
i think [โ5โ, โ4โ, โ3โ, โ2โ, โ1โ].map(x => parseInt(x)) is more natural syntax imo anyways
i'm not used to the rules, i just use type coercion approximately 0% of the time
11.12.2024 20:04 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0if they aren't using strict mode in 2024, you should probably hard fork anyways because that maintainer is long gone
11.12.2024 19:03 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0they added 'strict mode' in 2009 which disallows this
11.12.2024 18:05 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0haha i did forget about that one
11.12.2024 18:03 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0this kinda just furthers my point; like 80% of these are "wow look at the weird stuff that happens when i do math on non-numbers"
it's always things that you ~never run into while using the language (save for a few like '==', but that's what linters are for)
