Eight Garys! I have an exercise for my students to analyse data from around 2019-2021 and I think there are like 8 Garys in total across 3 years. In percentage terms this is a Gary resurgence!

I looked up how to keep paying for Office without the increased price and AI bloat and the top result was an official Microsoft answer on a forum saying "yeah just cancel your subscription and before you finalise it you can go down to the previous AI-free tier". Mindblowing.

The problem isn't that generativeAI will get so good it will replace artists. It can't and never will.

The problem is that uncreative and incurious people will flood every venue with so much regurgitated slop that no artist has a chance of ever being seen or found.

Oooh I see. I'm alright with "delve", it has its place like most words. I wouldn't even call it management speak like "utilise" or "leverage".

I don't know if I'd go that far but I could certainly live with a set of like 10 max and only at the end of a message or maybe a sentence. Emoji regulation is what we need.
