I have no idea where my husband originally got this After Dark®️ Flying Toasters™️ tie, but it continues to be my favorite.

We are nerds of a certain age, etc.

Roads and Drainage is saying there has to be an environmental review because it dumps into a "wetland," but there is a small strip of Kudzu and Wisteria (plus one very large maple tree) and then apartments.

I am once again engaged in the Sisyphean task of cleaning out Dekalb County's drainage canal that runs through my back yard. (This thing was built ~60 years ago and constantly fills up with silt/dirt, flooding my back yard and sometimes basement. It's a fucking nightmare.)

I enjoy eating kimchi in the comfort of my own kitchen, but now the whole house smells like farts.

FWIW, we are also big fans of breakfast popsicles in this house.

An Empress Wu hosta has been thoroughly chomped. Many stalks poke out of the ground, but only 4 or 5 leaves remain. They also got my rudbeckia.

Hosta season is the best season. This one is called 'blueberry muffin' and it has 3 scapes up now (only two visible here). 🌱

It's my first season with Irises and I'm pleasantly surprised to see blooms. I'm looking forward to these forming clusters and filling in a bit, for more visual impact. 🌱

I'm nearing the end of an extremely lengthy work project (~18 months, with a presidential election in the middle) and it has been a JOURNEY.

Two distinctly different camellia flowers on the same bush. One is a solid deep pink that is almost red, and the other is light pink with dark pink variegation. Flowers are framed by dark green foliage.

🌱 Front yard camellia party. This one typically blooms in Feb/March and has two distinctly different types of flowers. (Unsure if this is an anomaly or a specific cultivar with that characteristic. Theories welcome!)
