Because the flue is too small for the fire box and it turned out we were all being carbon monoxided when it first open and was turned on. Whoops.

I opened RDZ in 2001. I know the Casa structure was kept and turned into the dining room, but I'm not sure about the blacksmith shop fireplace. The underlying brick on the RDZ/Casa fireplace looks different than the blacksmith chimney though. Fun fact the interior fireplace at RDZ can't be used...
