But I sort of disagree that education is a choice. Atleast the students aren’t made to feel like it is. I know my generation was hammered with the “only path to success is to get in a good school” lie.

If the debt is incurred because of shit outside your own control, like medical, or because student loans are by design predatory, I’m inclined to disagree with you.

This doesn’t feel like a “new” thing though. I would be surprised if cnn didn’t look back into any of the last 40 years of presidents and found similar results.

Not that it makes it okay, but to act like Trump is the first corrupt politician is missing the forest cause all the trees are on fire.

There’s a pretty good argument to be made that the most influential person of the year is not necessarily the “best” person of the year.

But I feel like you know that, and you’re just farming for rage engagement.

Like, why would you? Even if you supported him, it’s weird to hold these rituals and celebrations for starting their job. We shouldn’t be idolizing them, we should be demanding that they get to work and do their job.
