Hazel may be blind but she wants you to know she is still capable of swiping a beaker full of treats off the kitchen table and enjoying them at leisure.

Being blind hasn’t affected Hazel’s morning routine of eating her breakfast, checking Bernie’s bowl to see is he has left anything (as if he would) and checking round the food bins to see if I have dropped the merest morsel, a more lucrative pursuit. Any food on the floor is hers according to law.

Love that we are seeing Chris and Là Voix! Beautiful American Smooth but one of the lifts was a bit of a guddle. Legs were messy. But given that there was a technical muck up the start it was fantastic. #scd #strictly

After watching the launch show, I am now very excited about #strictly tonight especially Jojo and Alex. I think they will be a cracking partnership. This will be the first year I will not be sharing my thoughts about the show on Twitter. I can’t justify it given its owner’s behaviour.

So several people I saw at Conference have Covid and several have an unspecified lurgy. I have a very sore throat and feel a bit grim. Tested negative last night but every other time it has taken 3 days of symptoms to be positive. So a quiet weekend is in order.
