โฆ Did I get scooped?
07.08.2025 14:51 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0You know, I have an entire series idea based on this. Isekai Delivery Service. They donโt deliver items, they deliver people into other dimensions. Basically, anytime someone is destined to become a hero in another world, they have to hunt them down and then run them over with one of their trucks.
07.08.2025 14:48 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Remake of Twins, anyone?
05.08.2025 23:05 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I am intrigued by their sales pitch, and I would like to know more.
05.08.2025 13:36 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Same here! I was particularly impressed by the set with the downed plane outside the cave. Whoever did their location scouting, prop design, etc. really deserves some praise. If they can make what is obviously a lower budget production look this good, I canโt wait to see their next project.
03.08.2025 12:19 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Surprisingly good production values as well. And, of course, a practical monster suit is always appreciated.
03.08.2025 11:53 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Agreed. Itโs got an apocalyptic vibe like no other.
02.08.2025 19:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0DOOM SHALL FATHER YOUR CHILDREN, RICHARDS.
*Sue coughs incredulously
NOT THAT WAY.
Understandable. Really, those first three episodes and the first couple of side series create an incredibly powerful thesis statement.
01.08.2025 12:07 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0In the book, the character is good for what he is, but this performance haz really elevated the role.
31.07.2025 22:07 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0And itโs almost hilarious how, at one point, he just sits down, shrugs and says โwell SOMEBODYโS gotta pay.โ it is the absolute picture of a man who just cannot understand why nobody wants to give him his damned money.
31.07.2025 00:35 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I love that heโs madโฆ But he legit just wants somebody to give him the damn money so he can quit dealing with this shit.
Like, if they paid out his portion, he would just be on his way.
Really, itโs that way with any art.
If you want a specific example, though, look no further than George Lucas.
He openly stated that no film was ever finished, only abandoned. Take a look at all the different editions of Star Wars.
Except that thing with the Necronomicon.
27.07.2025 20:29 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Agreed. The remainder seem to be more about the cyclical nature of things, and how a few becoming enlightened doesnโt stop the misinterpretation of the message after that.
For my money, smaller side stories like 0080 are best at exploring other aspects.
For a small fee, I will agree to stay in your living room, yell at you in the middle of the night, and poop in your house if Iโm not allowed to step outside.
Let the healing begin.
I mourned the hero many years ago.
The man, I do not mourn.
Especially if youโre dosed up on space-meth.
25.07.2025 14:16 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Really, thatโs the cool thing about the alien universe that I feel hasnโt been exploited enough. I feel like thereโs a lot of awesome stories to tell about Corporate chicanery that donโt require a drooling monster.
25.07.2025 14:07 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Whatโs cool is that, in the recent expanded universe materials for Alien, they actually incorporated this, albeit unofficially.
25.07.2025 13:59 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0F91 is one of the ways I introduce people to Gundam since itโs basically got EVERY TROPE condensed into a single feature-length package.
Itโs a little rushed and messy, but still a strong entry.
Definitely has one of the best arcs without ever losing his original character.
It really feels like the way people mature as they encounter life-changing events.
He sits in the corner, smoking a cigarette and watching.
20.07.2025 16:17 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Itโs basically a Tales from the Crypt episode that forgot the Cryptkeeper.
Stylish morality play with a structure straight out of EC.
I love stuff like that, where it starts off as a goofy, fun exercise with, perhaps, a dash of fetishismโฆ but then it evolves into a do-or-die exploration of what really matters in the lives of the characters.
Weirdly, the most recent example for me was watching ZZ Gundam for the first time.
I think thatโs largely because Godzilla has begun serving as a metaphor for all the various evils of the modern world.
When he first came on the scene, it was nuclear proliferation. Now, itโs expanded to governmental incompetence, natural disasters, warfare in generalโฆ
โHey. Check out myโฆ swimming.โ

Thereโs only one solution.
I have to devour it first,
*launches himself between her thighs face first for life, for love, and for the myriad universes of light
Definitely a demonstration that Lynch knows how to use metaphor and subtext like no other director.
