Join us for the first instalment of this lecture series where we will be joined by Hussein Abdulsater, Associate Professor of Arabic Culture and Islamic Studies at the University of Notre Dame, who will be reflecting on the academic study of Shiʿi Islam.

The Shiʿi Studies Network is excited to announce a new lecture series, Reflections on Shiʿi Studies.

The series aims to act as a forum for scholars working on the academic study of Shiʿi Islam to reflect on the state and fate of the field.

Membership of the Network is open to students currently enrolled on a doctoral program at universities, divinity schools, and seminaries anywhere in the world who work on or who have an interest in the study of Shiism in any of its manifestations, across any time period, and in any region.

We are so excited to announce the launch of the Shii Studies Network, a space for PhD students researching Shiism to forge personal and professional connections, share their research with and learn from each other, and push the field forward.
