Why does the media keep writing: "Science does not back up the assertion that acetaminophen/paracetamol use is linked to autism."?
Here's a clearer statement:

This was seen quite bit during the #COVID19 pandemic, and from both lay persons, and certain scientists espousing personal opinions from their area of expertise that were only marginally relevant to infections.

Some manifestations of communal narcissism:
1. Centering public attention on themselves
2. Exaggerating their knowledge or skill set
3. Participation in "virtue signaling," or expressing their ideas for the sake of looking morally superior
Because of their self-perceived grandiosity and superiority, they feel entitled to special treatment and other peopleโs constant praise and admiration.
Privately, especially when criticized or questioned, they are often antagonistic, acting in an aggressive, hostile, manipulative, or callous manner
Unlike people with good, charitable intentions, a communal narcissist is a person who is only behaving in a way to seem to be helping others for the sake of receiving praise for their actions or being perceived as morally superior. Truth does not matter to them if other people believe their faรงade.
04.07.2025 19:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Someone who is a communal narcissist is primarily concerned with being seen as altruistic and benevolent, even if this is NOT the case. It is about perception, not the truth. They want to be seen as "good", but that does not have to be based on reality.
04.07.2025 19:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Just learned a new term: "communal narcissism". A ๐งต for those interested.
Communal narcissism is a form of grandiose narcissism: persons with this trait are extroverted, have an inflated self-view, and believe their abilities and characteristics to be superior, but in the communal domain.
