When I was a teacher, I did exactly this. In the UK it's called differentiation - different spelling lists to learn, more complex multiplication tables to practise. Plus, on the harder sheets, I would (photocopied on to the reverse) put some Optional Extra, that was to really challenge and extend.

That's an incredible piece. So vital to have artefacts here in our town, to inspire Ipswich people, young and old, to find out more about the rich cultural heritage of our world.

Interesting read - do you foresee these being AI powered aural/oral assessments for language, or written? I am not aware of a strong aural/oral model that is 'plugged-in' to LLMs yet - but it's bound to come soon.
