In a weird way the big TV money brought football full circle.

In 1980s very well run clubs in a town like Ipswich or Watford could rise into top 5. As game became commercialised small city unfashionable clubs were forced down by the big 6.

Now TV money is so high it negates having a small stadium.

Fesshole is OK, but posts generally fall into 3 main catgories:

The reason Arsenal are going slowly crazy is that objectively this is best season in decades:

1st in PL
1st In CL table
Final of Carabao
Good run in FA cup

But simultaneously we've been pretty crap for 2 months.

Feels a bit like being 1st in a car race driving a Ferrari but the steering is dodgy.

Rolands barely retired and now hes started posting "grumpy grandad messages".

Its simply not true that everyone is polyamourous inBerlin. What is true is Berlin is a creative place with lots of young people who dont settle down till later.

I live in 1 of these countries and have lived in 2 others.

This article is ridiculous BS.
It is based on sample sizes of roughly 1 or 2 people from each city (if they were not made up) + some generalisations/fantasies someone might have whos never been there.

Because as has been confimred many times by the EU:

1. The EU leave Euro entry timing to nationas govts
2. The timing is far more complex technically than signing up for SM rules
3. There is no technical logic to force a govt to adopt the euro

I think we need to distinguish different aspects.

If UK rejoins EU it clearly signs up to SM/CU & EU law.
Think UK/EU would likely agree a timeline for Schengen - IRE would likely be involved in these talks for obvious reasons.

The EURO timing would need to be left to UK discretion as with Sweden.

My Spurs supporting friend went to Thailand for a post New year's holiday and only realised that Jonny Heitinga had joined Spurs as assistant manager...

...when Heitanga was sacked on the 16th February.

33 days as an assistant manager has got be some sort of record.

Imagine If Gordon Brown had been elected Leader of the Labour Party (as originally planned).

Brown would've been PM, the UK wouldnt have entered the Iraq War. Brown would have made UK a more social democratic country. Blair would now be creaming a few bob in the private sector & largely forgotten.

Lets be honest, Mourinho has been pretty dodgy for over a decade.

Note to US:

In UK - a monarchy - no one is above law, even the royal family.

In US - ostensibly a republic - the president & his staff are either immune to prosecution or can be pardoned by Trump.

In US virtually no one has been aressted.
Except 2 prison guards on duty night of Epstein’s death.

I think it may be even simpler.
As a policy "distraction" isnt working, if anything Epstein issue has got bigger last few weeks.

I see it as Trump trying to show power to make up for his lack of control elsewhere.
