Albertans: if you're looking for a COVID vaccine, remember to check the list of medical conditions that qualify you for Phase I (it's more inclusive than I'd have guessed). You can book the appointments through MyAHSConnect.

It's so confusing how they've set it up, definitely more of a "them" problem :)

For the second site, once you are logged in, click on "Visits" then "Schedule an appointment".

Hmm, not sure about pharmacies. But were you trying bookvaccine.alberta.ca or myahsconnect.albertahealthservices.ca? I couldn't get COVID to show up on bookvaccine either, but the second one worked.

My chronic lung disease finally brings me an advantage 🫁

01.10.2025 22:37 β€” πŸ‘ 4    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah, I probably didn't really figure out what was probably happening for several weeks. For a bit, I did have daily debates about whether it was worth standing up. Did figure out how to sit up incredibly slowly to avoid spiking the heart rate, and figured out which foods were less helpful...

01.10.2025 22:16 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I've been trying to tell people I know -- honestly about 1/2 the people I know qualify one or more times.

01.10.2025 22:11 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah, for no particular reason I haven't posted much about it.

It wasn't nearly as bad as the stories of many, but it definitely messed up my heart rate from mid-May to early August... kind of just got better by itself πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ but existing in May and June especially were exhausting.

01.10.2025 22:10 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Absolutely. My 10-ish weeks of "can't get my heart rate below 90 for several hours if I ever make the foolish decision to stand up" last year feels like it should be enough. "Luckily" I'll just go with chronic lung disease.

01.10.2025 22:05 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

It does seem like a bit of an odd list to me (more in terms of what isn't included). No idea about the decision-making process.

Would love a good turnout for this event -- it will help to show the City that there is a demand for neighbourly, community events in the downtown core.

Genuinely caught my brain looking for things to worry about one day. Haven't trusted anxiety since.

Long story short but the answer is the almost disappointing "running and therapy have been very helpful".

Haha I have some bad news. Also I hate to share the update that exercise is good.

I thought it would too but πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ doesn't seem to be the case for me.

For me, reducing my checking helped a little, but really it was a loop -- checking increased my anxiety, but my anxiety also drove the checking. Directly working on my anxiety really drove down my desire to check.

Sometimes I don't know things have happened for days. Or weeks.

It's wild.

I recommend it thoroughly.

I've been working hard on reducing my overall levels of anxiety in various ways in the last year, and it has been going well.

One of the most interesting effects is that I genuinely no longer feel compelled to know what's going on in the news on a constant basis.

Slightly obsessed with the notion that an omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent entity would waste their time thinking about American politics.
