Thats true, but only for this season in particular. Gyokeres, at 27, is more or less the finished product. Sesko could be worth Isak-money in 2/3 seasons.. its a shame we missed out on him.

Given the reports thus far, it seems likely he won't be much cheaper than Sesko, so why hold on to an extra 10ms or so, at a greater risk. Worst case scenario get Watkins, who doesn't block a future move for Sesko or Isak.

If Gyokeres ends up being 80m+, I can't rationalise not paying the extra 10m or so for Sesko or going for a PL-proven and boyhood gunner in Watkins. Just seems extremely risky for that price.

80ms for Gyok AI seems like a mistake. Especially considering that this deal would block a move for Sesko or Isak in future windows. I'd rather we bite the bullet and sign Sesko now, or get a PL-proven and boyhood gunner in Watkins.
