What was Edna Mode doing before 1945?

Edna doesn't have a hard time slotting into Nazi ideology. We don't know about Nazi Superbeings, but given the timeline, they seem very likely. What if Edna used to design for them? What if, after the war, like so many other scientists, the US army brought Edna home to work on the American supers?

So, how does this all work together? In the late 40s, Edna, someone with a clear German background, scientific knowledge, an obsession with superheroes as gods and clear love for military inspired black leather fashion works in a scientific position for the Americans? Enter: Operation Paperclip.

If we look at Ednas ideology, things get troubling. While she appears to have a more detached approach to what her suits are used for, she regularly describes supers as akin to gods, arguing towards Bob that he's superior to normal humans and should act like it. She clearly has an Ubermensch thing.

Edna used to create costumes for many members of the National Supers Agency, a government division dedicated to regulating and controlling superheroes. Her costumes aren't just fashion, they're feats of science. While there is no clear proof, I think it's fair to say she worked for the government.

Now that we've established the timeline, who is Edna? Edna Mode, her last name being the German word for fashion, with her accent and all that is clearly coded to be German. She is shown to be scientifically minded as well as favoring dark, often leather style looks.

Okay so first of all, the timeline. The main events of The Incredibles are meant to take place in the early 60s, with the prologue taking place in the late 40s. At the time of the prologue, at Bob and Helens wedding, Edna is in attendance and confirmed to have designed their suits.
