still remember the first gay person i followed on there. he's still a close friend and will always be my first role model, despite being several years younger.

the biggest reason i mourn the loss of that website is because i learnt EVERYTHING i know about the world on there. just having unfettered access to people from across the world taught me so much my small town upbringing and privileged social circle couldn't.
