Side note: being an artist is so odd, especially when your craft takes so much time. Some days I feel like I've achieved nothing real, others I feel the threads of my existence reaching through time through my work. Like I said, odd. Maybe that's just me

Had a really solid kiln run last weekend! These are kind of a test run for a series I plan to make 😁

These mugs found homes this weekend! Which is great news for my mug cabinet, which was beginning to overflow

Accidentally doubled up on my medication and now I can hear the universe with my teeth. Is this normal? Asking for me.

I want to dive into dirt and sew the seeds of meals to come. Generations of knowledge warns that it's too soon. To hold steady in the turmoil or Spring. Yet my modern mind refuses to accept the necessity of patience and so in tension I stand over packets of seeds. As if I can stare down time.

This didn't actually happen (because I'm still employed), but tell me why it still feels like the most accurate thing ever, because my cat keeps flopping on my desk demanding belly rubs, and I find that infinitely more important than anything else.

Boss: what's making that task take so long?

Going straight from watching the original 'Gossip Girl' to 'You' on Netflix is a wild experience. I like to think of them as alternate universes from one another.

I actually have good news, the kiln gods were kind and returned my sacrifices unharmed (and with some fun surprises!)

I glazed my first round of pieces yesterday and I'm happy to report that I have no hope of any of them returning to me in good condition. They are all offerings to the kiln gods in exchange for future success.

(I dipped them too long and it won't be pretty 🫣)

I went into this piece with no plan. It sounds cliche, but I literally stared at it thinking "what do you want to be" until I just sort of saw the design in my mind's eye. Inspiration is a fickle mistress who sometimes leaves me on read. Not yesterday though.

Got a quick work in progress shot on this little plate. I never like to count my kiln chickens before the hatch, but fingers crossed anyways because I like this one
