My 10 year old daughter brought home $2.74 from busking with friends on the sidewalk in front of our home. That's $2.74 more than I've ever made from music. They call themselves Girl Band. I want to hear their cover of Why They Hide The Bodies (Under My Garage), or Paul.

She's tough as nails and was more annoyed than anything. We don't shy away from racial or feminist ideas in our home. We had a great talk about that word and how to deal with her bully.

Her mom and godmother are planning to meet the school next week. I'm staying home because I will lose my shit having to discuss it with them. I'm bad at keeping my anger at bay when it comes to bullying and racism.

I'm livid. My daughter was called nigger by a fellow elementary classmate today. I want to meet that kid's parents and ask them if they are comfortable hearing him say it. I want him to say it in front of adults.

Stop engaging with unserious people. It's the first step in not taking them seriously. Block them. Stop letting their words hit your ears and eyes. Engagement is what they crave, what they need. Do not feed them, make it so they can't be heard.
