That's a rational argument. I put nothing beyond Bondi and the deplorable SCOTUS majority.

24.11.2025 18:47 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Hey, the delays are understandable. It takes time to cook books.
24.11.2025 18:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Bad. Now FFOTUS Kraznov the DIC will have Bondi re-file them.
24.11.2025 18:17 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0Were they dismissed with or without prejudice?
24.11.2025 18:14 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0George, do run, but in NJ2, where you can defeat Drew. No chance of winning in NY.
24.11.2025 17:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Let's update the nomenclature. It's now the Department of Authoritarianism (DOA). There's no longer any connection with "justice."
24.11.2025 17:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A most enjoyable discussion with very wise Sen. Slotkin. What I got from her final comments was something she didn't say, namely, we'd be far better off with *no* parties and a return to unaffiliated citizen legislators. Yes, a fantasy, but a good one.
22.11.2025 16:55 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0"...Itβs the end of post WWII American power. "
I disagree. That end came on January 20 2017.
There was a NYT report that he discussed possibly running in NY12 at a Democracy Docket subscriber event, but I've seen nothing from him confirming a final decision. Just one of his posts here saying "if I ever run..." Subsequently, I suggested to him that NJ2 would be a better fit. GA14 now too.
22.11.2025 15:11 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Sad, but true.
22.11.2025 03:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm encouraging @gtconway.bsky.social to run to replace her. π
22.11.2025 02:38 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Hey, @gtconway.bsky.social, Georgia's CD14 might be an even better one for you than New Jersey CD2. π
22.11.2025 01:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hey, @gtconway.bsky.social, Georgia's CD14 might be an even better one for you than New Jersey CD2. π
22.11.2025 01:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It is, but it is what it is.
22.11.2025 01:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Your predecessor, Governor Newsom, already has us in a position where "comeback" is counterfactual. Please campaign on increasing all the good that's happened since your party achieved trifecta control of state government. I look forward to voting for you, as I have for Democrats since 1988.
22.11.2025 01:11 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0General, when an officer fails to properly evaluate orders as illegal and flows them down to enlisted personnel, does not the UCMJ enable/require those enlisted personnel to disobey? Isn't the evaluation of legality effectively an obligation of both officers and enlisted?
22.11.2025 01:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0No. He's Putin's direct report.
22.11.2025 00:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I refrained from this when commenting against Gen. Hertling's article, but failure of *any* member of any branch of the military, officer or enlisted, to disobey illegal orders will inevitably lead to repetition of WWII Germany and the "I was only following orders" so-called "defense."
21.11.2025 22:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There are a lot of not rich people who are stupid about not voting. Reality sucks, but it's real.

21.11.2025 20:40 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hey George, while we've got your attention. Please forget running for the House in NYC. How about New Jersey's 2nd Congressional District. Van Drew seems like a good target, and that district is merely R+5, a better fit for someone with your policy preferences.
21.11.2025 20:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Never, ever succeeded. He's one of the worst MAGAts, and has been longer than the term existed.
21.11.2025 20:02 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Trained soldiers like Crow, in addition to having 24/7 security provided by Capitol Police, ought publicly announce that he's armed and ready to use his "good guy with a gun" second amendment rights in defense against any fanatic inspired by FFOTUS Kraznov the DIC's bleets. Make MAGAts feel fear.
21.11.2025 20:00 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0They'll "go their own way" yesterday if they're smart. At this point, we (the U.S.) are just as much their enemy as Russia is.
21.11.2025 18:34 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hillary nailed it. FFOTUS Kraznov the DIC is Putin's puppet. Zelensky needs to extend his central digit to their "plan." Europe needs to step up, including putting boots on the ground in support of Ukraine.

21.11.2025 18:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0No. The brain worm died of starvation.
21.11.2025 16:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The most notable thing that jumped out at me from Tim's portion was W's enumeration of Cheney's "courteousness." I was immediately reminded of the time Cheney, on the Senate floor, said to Sen. Pat Leahy "go fuck yourself." Courteous indeed!
