I think the thing that drives fans bananas about this Wings team is so many of the errors are unforced. It’s not so much that they’re routinely being out played - they’re making boneheaded mistakes that immediately end up in the back of their net

i have not written about him specifically but his numbers this year are quite poor

obviously not all the goals against are his fault but at some point teams rely on their goalies to make the tough and timely saves to given them a chance to win

Now the 8th time in 13 starts Gibson has given up 4 or more goals

A lot has been made of Travis Hamonic’s glaring mistakes but boy Albert Johansson is having a rough start to the season

Two new features for the standings page - one temporary, one permanent.

First, TODAY ONLY, a handy visual cue to identify which teams are 4+ points out of the playoffs as of US Thanksgiving. It'll be gone once the clock ticks over to Friday!

The second (and permanent) feature is a "timeline" of the standings for each conference over the course of the season - both the order of the standings, and the scale of the point gap.

Yeah I think that’s what it is - it’s not one person but I think it’s a combination of not knowing how to incorporate him so it becomes deferential in nature

Yeah sorry i mean FanDuel Sports (old habits die hard with Fox Sports Detroit) but yeah it feels a bit forced. I don’t think it’s entirely gambling driven but it just feels a bit too deferential

I haven’t loved the FSD incorporation of Mike Kelly this year and I think I figured out my source of frustration - it feels too deferential to him and the “numbers”. Would like to see a more well-rounded discussion between all with him interjecting data where appropriate

I think you have to because let’s say you get Quinn at $13 million and Ed at $7 million. $28 million would represent less than 25% of the cap in 2027-2028

don’t think he fits the window the Wings want unless they also land one of the other big names
