YouTube video by Memphis Gong Chamber World Sound Healing Journey into the Light | Sound Bath Meditation 🎧

The long-form sound journeys that the Memphis Gong Chamber puts up are consistently transportive and very well recorded

This one is new, np

A still photo from a news broadcast in which a middle aged man with sunglasses, a hat, and a white beard is being interviewed. He is standing in front of a dark grey Tesla car which he fortunately does not own

While I'd much prefer us not having data centers at all, we could be supplying them with power from renewables much more cheaply and safely than powering them with coal-derived electricity. We're not doing that though, because 47 is a corrupt psychopath

I like it. I have a shorter glass gandalf, about 6 inches. I love it; it's my main pipe. Mine has a tighter bend though, a real pain to clean. This looks a little easier in that regard

Someone had spotted him and told us later. I think he left before the end and was hanging out by the back of the room. I couldn't see him from stage of course!

Oh right, in London? I remember liking that place, and the people who ran it. That might have been the show that Christian Bale attended, incognito in a hoodie

Do you remember where it was? I may or may not remember the place specifically as my memories of venues have tended to blur over the passage of time

Amazing! I feel honored to have been doing my thing at the origin of such a long lasting and happy pairing. Seriously, that's so cool!

Ah, ok. I was poking at the edges of a possible Mandela effect

It seems kind of remarkable that not only did they misremember you giving a Tedx speech in the first place, but had seemingly invented a plausible sounding title for it

I really enjoyed getting to shut out the noise of the world for a little while reading this essay on a Friday morning, a brief respite before more formally kicking the day into gear

A question that occurred to me: any mentions of this Tedx talk by others, or just the one couple?

Good that they banded together like that. You can't have people who just want to have a good time enjoying music with their fellow humans feeling afraid to come out because some predator might be lurking

Taught Tai Chi again today, making it three days in a row that I've taught Tai Chi to people. Today's class was a private lesson

One takeaway from this is that I've realized that my years of being a bandleader has left me well-equipped to teach Tai Chi too. It's the same skill

NASA scientists say meteorites can’t explain mysterious organic compounds on Mars Scientists studying a rock sample collected by NASA’s Curiosity rover have uncovered something tantalizing: the largest organic molecules ever detected on Mars. The compounds β€” decane, undecane, and d...

For example: The evidence for the "Mars once supported life" hypothesis continues to pile up, and it can't be easily explained by other processes.

no thanks Meta, I've got plenty of reasons to be pissed off already which I'm actively trying to tamp down on

Earlier I was parking, and looked to my left to see a massive amount of snow sliding off the roof of an apartment building across the street. I made a mental note then that today was not going to be a good day to stand directly under roofs' edges

Sorry you suffered though that. I'm not Catholic, and recognize that historically their abuses have been widespread and they've been awful. I was only speaking to their popes' recent public stances on immigration, which have been better than those of the evangelicals, baptists, etc

Two popes in a row have criticized the regime's heavy handed approach to immigration, so there's that

I really enjoyed this. Before I got to the fifth section I was already thinking of Terry Gilliam's deus ex machina foot from the Flying Circus animations. Does it qualify as a manicule even though it's a foot and not a hand?
