Picked up a 2010 copy of Iron Man from Cex and although it got to the menu, the player is struggling.

Disc rot is real, but I've only come across it a handful of times...

This is Spinal Tap (1984) the Criterion Blu-ray. The metallic Spinal Tap logo floats above heads of David St. Hubbins, Nigel Tufnel and Derek Smalls feature against a background that can be none more black.

Best in Show (2000) Warner Archive Blu-ray. Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Jane Lynch, Parker Posey et al, along with their pedigree dogs feature on the cover.

A Mighty Wind (2003) Warner Archive Blu-ray. The usual suspects of Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer, Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Jane Lynch, Parker Posey et al, Folk singers against a white void.

Masters of the mockumentary! Several recent additions to join Waiting for Guffman in my collection.

This is Spinal Tap (1884) Finally on Criterion Blu-ray!

Family Double Feature - Scooby Doo 1&2 (2002/2004) Collection Blu-ray. Elvira figure looking on in surprise.

Inspired by a @scottniswander.bsky.social video on the correct watch order of the live action Scooby Doo movies I had to try myself.

Believe it or not SD2 didn't get a UK release on Blu-ray 😮

But this US collection is region free, albeit with very basic cover art.

A copy of the MST3K Volume XVII reissued DVD that appears to have been utterly destroyed in transit. The case is in about 50 pieces. It's so sad.

3-Movie Collection - The Beastmaster, Beastmaster 2: Through the Portal of Time and Beastmaster III: The Eye of Braxus I'm one DVD set. The box art features very compromised versions of the individual movie's artwork sliced into a sandwich of glorious bad artwork rather than a unique design that would encompass all three films.

It only took Amazon (boo, hiss) 2 months to deliver but it finally arrived. A 3 movie DVD box set of The Beastmasters. Already have the first on blu, so this was for the sequels.

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace (2006) the complete series DVD. Andrew eerily lit picture of the titular writer adorns the cover with a sickly greenish glow.

I walked 21km today to pick this up from a not-so-nearby CEX. Damn that's about a

PQ's a bit murky and only English audio track.

The special features listed on the back are a complete fabrication! All there is is a trailer at the end, w/o audio.

Disc has a PG rating, not G.

As an original MOTU fan, I found both series a real treat.

Didn't Microsoft tell users who didn't want the always online feature to buy a 360 instead? I can see the parallel.

But when the download servers go offline one day these key cards will be more plastic waste. At least a code on paper can be recycled.

I am assuming Nintendo haven't committed to long term support of their new online marketplace. Who knows maybe they have. But their track record is not encouraging.
