One well known challenge in writing RPGs is that the rulebook needs to serve multiple purposes. It needs to convey information about the game fiction/setting, instruct the reader how to play AND serve as a reference for the rules once play begins.

That's a tall order.

Designing a big cutaway spread for the moon comic. These are always the best.

I love this spread from History for Beginners. (Available now! A must read for all truth-seekers!) Meaning, message and form marry pleasingly. Like all good ideas, the design came to me, fully-formed, while in the shower.

Had anyone got some suggestions for good comics for a thirteen year old boy? He prefers adventure to drama, I'd say.
