I can not get over how well Noah Hawley and his team have been able to capture the look and feel of the ALIEN universe (especially in scenes set on the Maginot).

I just got my MAC & ME 4K in from the fine folks at @vinsyn.bsky.social and while I’m incredibly excited for it, I can’t help but wish it included a commentary by Paul Rudd and Conan O’Brien

(I should probably point out that the misspelling is intentional.)

Whether you think it works as a film on other terms is objective (I happen to think it’s really good), but anyone criticizing it for playing both sides, etc, is missing the point. “Your being manipulated” could very well be the film’s thesis statement.

I’m seeing a lot of bad takes about EDDINGTON from folks who clearly don’t understand the concept of satire.

The three of us decided to pop on to record a “quick” review of SUPERMAN — shooting for 30-60 min (if you listen to the regular show, you know that’s short for us). Ended up talking for an hour and a half (!) and I still somehow forgot to mention the social media rage monkeys.

I was 13 years old in the summer of 1995 so needless to say Dr. Chase Meridian’s mere existence shaped me in, uh, profound ways.

I simply do not understand the hype behind Gunther -or- Jey Uso.

Gunther is a good technical wrestler but he’s boring as hell and Uso is one note — in the ring and on the mic. Yeah, he’s got a fun entrance but what else?

I thought our David Lynch series on Cinema Shock was my favorite thing we’ve ever done, but this Jim Henson series (which is almost over! 😢) might take the cake now. Incredibly proud of the work we’ve done on this series and I’m gonna miss talking about Henson when we’re done.

My Instagram follower count is almost 1,900. Not a crazy follower count but my brand new TT account only had 56 followers, so clearly TT is showing this to non-followers, whereas IG isn’t even showing it to the people who DO follow me.

For example, I posted a video to TT today, then posted the exact same video minutes later on IG. Same caption, same hashtags. In less than an hour, it had 136 likes and almost 1,200 views on TT. Now, TEN HOURS later, it’s only up to 3 likes snd 161 views on IG.

I started a TikTok account for @cinemashock.bsky.social a couple of weeks ago and it’s really made it clear to me how drastically different content is treated there vs Instagram/Meta. This was never a secret, but it’s sort of insane how Meta suppresses content in the hopes of monetizing it.
