The bottom panel additionally contains multi-comics analyses (epigenetics, transcriptomics, proteomics) and functional drug testing in patient-derived in vitro models to identify tumor sensitivities potentially missed by the current workflow.

Impacts of prevention, screening, treatment on cancer deaths An NCI modeling study finds that, over the past 45 years, the majority of deaths averted from five cancer types were due to prevention and screening.

A modeling study led by the NIH, published in *JAMA Oncology*, found that advances in cancer prevention and screening have averted more deaths from breast, cervical, colorectal, lung, and prostate cancers over the past 45 years than treatment advancements.

Donating stem cells has been the one thing I am most proud of in my life so far and it has been an incredibly smooth and easy experience for me.
So, if you have not done so..

After some weeks due to treatment-related complications, he finally received my cells. 🩸

Fortunately, I was cleared to donate! 🥳
A few weeks later, I donated stem cells and they were sent off to the US. 🛫🇺🇸

They told me that I was a match and that I could potentially save this man's life by donating stem cells.
I obviously agreed to go for a further medical check-up to ensure that I was healthy allowing a safe stem cell donation.

In the spring of 2022, @dkms-de.bsky.social told me about a man from the US who diagnosed with blood cancer and in need of a stem cell transplant.
