I genuinely cannot recommend watching past the first six seasons

God, remember Must See TV back in the day? Thursday nights ROCKED.

but the first 6 seasons (ish) were GREAT. There was definitely a time at the beginning when I was watching it not just on the treadmill too, b/c it was SO GOOD. Like, I had seen the beginning of it before, but I forgot how AMAZING it was. SO freaking good. After S6, it...was not so good. There>

I had tried to watch the whole thing at least 2x before and always ended up tapping out when Dr. Greene gets sick. I pushed through this time! I was DETERMINED to finish it. It's been my treadmill show for a YEAR. I watch it while running 3 mornings a week. Was it all good? NO IT WAS NOT.

FIFTEEN SEASONS. 331 EPISODES.

I FINISHED WATCHING ALL OF ER.

you know what's really funny? I was buying eggs this week and doing that and went down a whole rabbithole of wondering if EVERYONE does it as religiously as I do. (I've always done it, but EGGS ARE EXPENSIVE, why wouldn't you CHECK.)

I was responding to fic comments and when I do that, I also look at how people have bookmarked my fics and there was a bookmark on a Wangxian fic that just said, "I need to eat this" and I just hope that person is having a nice day.

It makes me happy! I have a shelf of my mom's books, too. And the Jeeves books are HILARIOUS, which is amusing to me to have only discovered in 2026.

I LOVE that you checked. LOVE it. sad about the removal of my paper towel holders, but still VERY pleased that I did it.

they are!! like, obviously I KNEW that, but somehow never picked one up. it feels really fun to be discovering them in 2026.

(Somehow I had never read the Jeeves books, and I was looking for something snappy and these are it. It makes me doubly happy that they were my sister's - I have a shelf of her books still)
