RIP Shunsaku Tamiya, age 90, the chairman of legendary modelmaker Tamiya. He didn't found the company, but started working there in 1958, just four years after its founding, and helped it shift from its original line of wooden models into the plastic kits it is so well known for today.

Do they ever start lifting as soon as you apply them? That’s what I ran into a couple of times, they go on flap and start to “peel” on their own.

Zeta gundams legs up close

First time applying water slide decals. Oh boy, they ain’t no joke😄. First issue is I think the paint isn’t smooth enough, need more gloss coat? Maybe, I did apply an extra layer to the rest of the parts. Some of the decals got smudged but they look good from a few feet away😅.

I replaced the head cannons with some metal pieces. I like the end result much better!😄

I finished arms and shoulders….knees and toes😆. Had to repaint a couple of parts but it turned out ok. Next up is the head and backpack. I think there may be an issue with the feet, #Zeta has a backward lean that I’m trying to figure out.
