27.01.2025 18:20 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Shows a finished embroidery design in a hoop. The design features three medieval men, a medieval building, a tree with a strange bird at the top of it, and a barren field that has a bit of tumbleweed in it. The text of the embroidery - in a medieval style of text says “Behold! The field in which I grow my fucks, lay thine eyes upon it and thou shalt see that it is barren”
The backside of the hoop is a piece of grey fabric felt with a pattern of little colourful circles on it. There is a label with an icon of a needle and thread, which says “Stitched with love by Catriona”
My latest embroidery finish! Actually finished stitching this one a couple of weeks ago - design by CraftyQueerDesigns on Etsy - but only just finished putting it in a display hoop and getting it backed with fabric felt from #PaperAndStringLtd.

The image is of an embroidery hoop with navy material. There is a partially stitched reindeer face on it - the design is stylised rather than photorealistic, and has a bit of a Scandi feel to it, even though the design is by a British designer. The antlers have red berries and ice-blue-green leaves hanging off them, as if the antlers were also tree branches. The face is only partially stitched. There are outlines of snowflakes drawn on the material, yet to be stitched.
My current embroidery WIP. I am obsessed with this design - it’s by TheHoopInHand on Etsy. Beginning to feel really quite festive. (The WIP I posted the other day is now finished and has been washed. Just need to block it and frame it, then I’ll post a completed pic!)

Lay thine eyes upon it and thou shalt see that it is barren.” It is a pattern I bought from CraftyQueerDesigns on Etsy.
This is my current embroidery work-in-progress. A slightly subversive one for my husband’s (wfh) office…!

Three framed cross stitch projects, all of the same autumnal style and colour palette, hanging on a wall. The cross stitch images feature a flower, a squirrel and some mushrooms. They’re from a kit by Vervaco.
A cross stitch of a flower, some leaves, and a couple of tiny mushrooms in very autumnal colours of browns, oranges and yellows.
An in-progress photo of a cross stitch project, featuring some mushrooms and a leaf. Very autumnal colours - reds, browns, oranges etc.
Cross stitch of a red squirrel sitting on top of a mushroom eating a sheaf of wheat. All in very autumnal colours of browns, oranges, reds and yellows.
A little trio of cross stitch images that I completed recently. I love the autumnal colours, and the wee squirrel is just too cute!! 🐿️🍄🍂
