A thing I learned today I'd never known before: In 2004, Colorado signed Vinny Castilla to a 1 year, $2.1 million contract. It was mostly deferred and he gets a little more than $100k each year from 2015-2019. Deferrals have been around forever, really.

Three one-month-old kittens who want to go home with you, sitting on a couch covered with old towels (light green on the left, light blue behind and underneath). The kitten on the left is a grey tabby with perfect little white feet. The one on the right is all black (with a heart of gold, not shown). The one in the middle is black and white (like a panda or cow or whatever) and it probably going to stay with me but I'm including in this picture because of the cute. Baby cats!

These three (of five) strays were born on my porch last month in the Charleston, SC area, and would one day love to be included in a Bluesky "show me your pets!" post. So if you're local to me and sad you don't currently have a pet to share here, I can help you out. They are superstar baby cats.

The three-member band the Mountain Goats rocking our butts off on the outdoor stage at the Windjammer in Isle of Palms, SC, while a good size crown cheers them on.

A good time was had by me (and probably everyone else there) at the Mountain Goats IOP concert this evening. We even got an in memoriam(?) shoutout to the legendary Charlie McAlister.

It doesn't happen often, but I'll occasionally come across an episode of House Hunters that has someone wary of buying a haunted house. It's usually a deal breaker! This one is a real gem.
